Mind Map + Tasklist

In process of adding new skill to my skillset, I was trying to figure out how to write out the plan from my head on to paper.

It was all nice but no clear way to see what was needed to achieve my goal and how I was progressing – essentially seeing bigger picture.

They say picture is worth a thousand words, but then how do you photograph your thought?

This is when I discovered a concept called Mind Map.

Mind Map – Xray like concept that allows to clearly see you thoughts, unlike X-ray, it is colorful

What is Mind Map?

Mind Map is a diagram used to visually organize the information.

Buzan’s specific approach, and the introduction of the term “mind map”, arose during a 1974 BBC TV series he hosted, called Use Your Head

Steps to follow
  • Start with a node at the center of the page which would represent the main concept.
  • Branch out from here with related ideas
  • Use different colors for each branch
  • Use images when possible
  • Use curved lines to connect each node instead of straight lines (makes it more fun)
  • Each node can be treated as a to-do that can be checked off – showing progress.
